The original Wye Court buildings, the centre for management of medieval Wye Manor, must have been a substantial and grand property as it was visited by three kings.
Edward I resided there for a short period 1298-99, Edward II after the burial of his father and before his coronation in 1308; Henry VI visited in 1429 and also Humphrey Duke of Gloucester (whilst protector of England when Henry VI was in his minority) in 1430 and 1431.
